What’s Coming Next for Diablo 4 After Season 10’s Success

As the initial hype of Diablo 4 Season 10 begins to die down, the community is looking back on the 2025 roadmap and wondering what the future holds.

Looking Back

In 2025, Diablo 4 has gone through a ton of content throughout the seasons and has had several ups and downs, with a handful of wonderful additions that are thankfully sticking around. This year, we have made use of all sorts of powers. From Witchcraft and occult gems, to borrowing power from bosses, to the Horadrim, and now harnessing Chaos. 2025 has been the year of using powers from external forces, which, at times, was very fun and, at other times, somewhat underwhelming.

Yet, while the powers were temporary, what we gained was new Lair Bosses and massive overhauls to their fights. Reliquaries, new Nightmare Dungeon content, and much more. One of the biggest changes that is still seriously impacting the game is the recent changes to Lair Bosses’ Invulnerability phases, on top of the seasonal Chaos Rifts, Armor, and Perks.

Season 10 is easily one of, if not the most popular, season of 2025, along with thousands of fans begging Blizzard to keep some of Season 10’s gimmicks and implement them into the Eternal Realms. These mainly include Chaos Rifts and Chaos Armor for their drastic spice of life improvements and build diversity.

What’s Next for Diablo 4 in 2026

With Season 10 being the final season on the 2025 Roadmap, fans are looking ahead to what 2026 will bring. What we do know at the moment is that 2026 will bring a new Expansion for Diablo 4, along with a new Ranking System, Leaderboards, and more.

Rumors are already spreading about what’s in store, including claims that the Crusader from Diablo 3 will eventually be making their way into Diablo 4 with the new expansion. Of course, fans are also worrying that Diablo 4 will continue following their past trends of remaking or updating older systems that clearly have some holes in them, to incentivize players to return. This has been done a handful of times in the past, including the recent changes to Nightmare Dungeons and the recent Soul Spire changes.

Fans will likely know more coming up soon as the next Sanctuary Sitdown is on October 16th. So be sure to tune in to find out what’s in store for Diablo 4’s future.
