HoYoverse just released the official Character Demo for Sigrid, and honestly, it may be one of the most fitting demonstrations of a character we’ve seen in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ). This demo isn’t an elaborate story or some massive spectacle. Instead, it leans completely into her personality, delivering a surprisingly hilarious adventure that shows exactly why Sigrid is, well, Umazing.
The demo begins with Sigrid sitting in a meeting alongside several of her colleagues, including some Bangboo, when she suddenly receives a phone call. Sigrid excuses herself and heads off to handle what appears to be a simple task. Naturally, things immediately go wrong.
Sigrid’s Simple Delivery Quickly Becomes a Disaster
Following the GPS on her phone, Sigrid seemingly attempts to track down Lady Lindverne Sunbringer, only to discover that Lindverne seems to be moving around as well. Before long, Sigrid is wandering through Rosaclifer with absolutely no idea where she’s going, eventually finding herself deep inside Hollow territory.
Naturally, this does not stop Sigrid from doing her job. Even with hostile Ethereals attacking her, Sigrid remains remarkably committed to figuring out where her GPS is sending her, fumbling with her phone while effortlessly defending herself against anything that gets in her way. Eventually, however, even Sigrid’s patience runs out, and she takes her frustration out on the unfortunate Ethereals before continuing her search.
The punchline comes when Sigrid’s character demo cuts over to Lady Lindverne, who reveals what actually happened: Sigrid wasn’t sent on some grand mission at all. She was simply asked to pick up a delivery package. The demo then cuts back to Sigrid’s perspective as she somehow finds herself right back where she started. The camera slowly pans to the side, revealing the package sitting nearby with a very angry Deliverboo perched on top of it.
It’s a wonderfully silly conclusion to an equally interesting character demo, and it fits Sigrid almost perfectly. The entire video manages to showcase her dedication, competence, confusion, and seemingly endless ability to turn the simplest task into an adventure without ever losing sight of what makes her so charming.
Sigrid is Uma-zing, you see 🐴, and her Character Demo is a great reminder of exactly why. She’ll officially join the Zenless Zone Zero roster during the second half of Version 3.1, with her banner scheduled to begin on August 19.
