Genshin Impact‘s new endgame challenge: Stygian Onslaught opened for the first time today, and it’s not for the faint of heart.
Starting June 25, Travelers can take on a rotating boss gauntlet featuring six difficulty levels, optional Co-Op play, artifact farming, and even exclusive weapon skins. It doesn’t matter if you’re here for the challenge or the loot, there is plenty to get and participate in.
Here is what you need to know, and why you really don’t want to miss the first 10 days!
Event Duration
Stygian Onslaught will last from June 25 until July 29, 2025, before it resets with new bosses and rewards!
The Disturbance Outbreak Phase will last from June 25 to July 5, 2025. This is the period in which you will be able to farm your artifacts inside this mode!
Gameplay Highlights
- 3 Boss Fights per cycle, with 6 difficulty levels
- Starting from Difficulty III, you can spend Resin to farm any artifact set
- Higher tiers (IV to VI) add restrictions like no character reuse and Ley Line Disturbances
- Solo-only required to unlock Dire Difficulty
And yes, Dire is as hard as it sounds. But it comes with the biggest rewards. Just know that you will need characters that are properly equipped in order to complete the challenge.
