A new leak has come up ahead of Genshin Impact’s Nod-krai update, showing off a never-before-seen feature called Valiant Chronicles. This new system gives players a better way to track and challenge Local Legends. On top of that, defeating them will finally grant you a ton of rewards!

How to Access Valiant Chronicles
According to the video, here is what you will need to do in order to access Valiant Chronicles:
- Speak to Katheryne in Nod-krai.
- Select the dialogue option: “Check Valiant Chronicles information.”
- Inside the menu, you can view:
- A list of available Local Legends.
- Rewards for defeating them under certain conditions (e.g., avoiding specific attacks).
- Prerequisite quests if some bosses require them before unlocking.
- Exact locations of each Local Legend, removing the guesswork of hunting them down on the map.
Official Rules
- Local Legends: Described as powerful enemies scattered across the world, far stronger than normal foes.
- Eligibility:
- Unlocked at Adventure Rank 55.
- Previously defeated Local Legends won’t count retroactively.
- Challenge objectives only count at World Level 8 or higher.
- Co-op Rules:
- Some Local Legend fights can be tackled in co-op.
- Challenge eligibility depends on the host’s world level.
Rewards
Defeating Local Legends via Valiant Chronicles grants:
- Primogems
- Mora & upgrade materials
- Exclusive Avatar Frames (it is unknown if different rewards will be made available later on for future Local Legends)
This leak suggests Valiant Chronicles will serve as a “boss-hunting” journal for Genshin. It gives us a more structured challenge for the Local Legends. You will have a clear location, prerequisite quests to complete, and actual rewards for defeating Local Legends. This way you finally get rewarded if you enjoy tough fights, and it is also nice for completionists chasing avatar frames and Primogems!
It definitely looks like one of Nod-krai’s most exciting quality-of-life feature so far!
