Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero are set to collaborate in the upcoming Version 4.8 update of Honkai: Star Rail, which is expected to release on 22 December 2026. So far, two playable characters from ZZZ have been revealed: Ellen Joe and Astra Yao.
According to recent leaks, Astra Yao is expected to be available for free, making Ellen the likely featured banner character. Ellen will be an Ice character following the Path of Destruction, while Astra Yao’s Element and Path remain unknown for now.
Based on their original roles in ZZZ, we can speculate that Astra Yao will likely fill a support role, while Ellen is expected to serve as a DPS character. This would align with their respective roles in ZZZ, as well as Ellen’s anticipated Destruction Path in Honkai: Star Rail.
