Now that Amphoreus is wrapping up, Honkai: Star Rail players are already buzzing about what’s next. The journey continues on Edostar, and thanks to a few leaks, we’ve got an early peek at the characters waiting for us there. Here’s a roundup of everything that’s surfaced so far.
Leaked Content Ahead!
Remember, leaked content is always subject to change, especially when considering updates that are still in the future. Don’t get too attached just yet, since a lot of this could shift or even turn out to be false.
With that disclaimer out of the way, let’s break down all the characters mentioned in the leak, grouped neatly by their factions.
Genius Society Members
- Yu Qingtu (Genius Society Nº55): A close friend of Ruan Mei, Yu Qingtu has already made an impression through her Simulated Universe appearance, where her love for cocktails and music stood out. While it’s unclear if those traits tie into her kit, leaks suggest she’s expected to debut as a limited 5-star Fire Erudition unit. She is tied to a Simulated Universe update and designed to synergize with The Herta’s team.
- Stephen Lloyd (Genius Society Nº84): The youngest member of the Genius Society, Stephen Lloyd first appeared as a program in the Simulated Universe. His element and path are still unknown, but leaks suggest that he will join the roster alongside Yu Qingtu in the same patch.
The journey to Edostar is expected to lean heavily into the Elation Path and its rival factions: the Masked Fools and the Mourning Actors. These groups clash over their differing takes on Aha as an Aeon, setting up a conflict that could push the planet’s story forward. Interestingly, many fans believe we’ve already had a glimpse of Edostar through Sparkle’s Myriad Celestia!
The Masked Fools
- Sparkle (SP Form): In Honkai: Star Rail, “SP” denotes an alternate form of an existing 5-star, and Sparkle is next in line for one. Known for her chaotic playfulness, Sparkle is now tied more closely to Edostar, which appears to be her homeland. As a high-ranking Elation Pathstrider and Masked Fools executive, leaks point to her arriving as a limited 5-star Fire Elation sub-DPS. She should be a perfect fit for Elation-focused teams.
- 5-star Sampo Koski: Ever since launch, players suspected there was more to Sampo than met the eye. Those suspicions paid off! He’s revealed to be the “Joker” of the Masked Fools and even an Emanator of Elation, making him, lore-wise, even stronger than Sparkle. Gameplay details remain unclear, with no word yet on his Path nor on his Element.
The Mourning Actors
- Sakura: Leading the Edostar branch of the Mourning Actors, Sakura stands as another Emanator of Elation, much like Sampo. Current leaks suggest she’ll take the spotlight as the anniversary banner’s featured character. For those wanting to dive deeper into her lore, here is an in-depth article.
- Mysterious Male Character: Serving as Sakura’s assistant and assassin, this unnamed figure comes with a surprising backstory. He’s reportedly the one who aided Dan Heng’s escape from the Luofu before the main story brought him into focus.
As with every new world, the Trailblazer will receive an Elation-themed upgrade upon reaching Edostar. It’s still unclear whether the path will align more with the Mourning Actors or the Masked Fools. Her kit is reportedly built around support-focused abilities.
The CPI’s Stonehearts
One of the more surprising details in this leak is the mention of not one, but four Stonehearts. That number seems unusually high, especially given how significant these characters are to the story. For those unfamiliar, Stonehearts are high-ranking IPC members, standing alongside names like Aventurine, Jade, and Topaz. Interestingly, a trailer released over a year ago already showcased these very characters, giving us an early glimpse long before their official reveal.
- Pearl: Leaks describe Pearl as a limited 5-star Wind Harmony unit and the cornerstone support for Elation-focused teams. With her ability to buff the entire squad, she fits neatly into the role of a universal support that could see use beyond just Elation comps.
- Obsidian: Easily one of the most anticipated faces thanks to her trailer debut, Obsidian is rumoured to be a 5-star Fire Elation character centred around skill-based damage. Early leaks suggest she pairs exceptionally well with Cerydra, making her a potential powerhouse in the right setup.
- Sugilite: For now, details about Sugilite are scarce. Outside of his visual reveal, nothing concrete has surfaced about his kit or role in battle.
- Opal: Similarly, Opal remains a mystery. He’s been mentioned in leaks, but without any real details attached. It’s possible that both Opal and Sugilite could show up in Edostar’s storyline without being immediately playable.
Lord Ravagers of Destruction
This part of the leak has definitely raised eyebrows. Lord Ravagers, long-awaited since their first teaser appearance, are suddenly being mentioned as upcoming characters. While exciting, the timing feels a bit too early, making this particular detail one of the more suspicious pieces of information in the batch.
- Celenova: Serving as the general of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction, Celenova’s appearance in this leak is somewhat surprising. It is especially true given her sworn enmity with the Harmony. Still, it’s possible she could make an appearance to support another Lord Ravager tied to these leaks.
- Asat Pramad: Unlike Celenova, Asat Pramad fits perfectly into Edostar’s theme. As the sworn enemy of Elation and its Aeon, Aha, his involvement feels almost inevitable. The catch? Current leaks label him as a non-playable character, though that status could still change later.
Other Characters
- Messenger: This long-circulating leak claims the Memokeeper stationed by the Memory of Chaos entrance will finally become playable. She’ll reportedly arrive with a fresh design as a 4-star character, serving as the player’s first introduction to Edostar.
- Blade (SP Form): The Stellaron Hunter isn’t sitting this chapter out. Blade is set to resurface in Edostar during an undercover mission. Leaks say he’ll get a new skin inspired by traditional Chinese warrior attire and appear as a limited 5-star Lightning Hunt character. He specialises in follow-up attacks. Initial information suggests a strong synergy with both Cerydra and Pearl, making him a potential cornerstone for future teams.
- Void Archives: Honkai Impact 3rd veterans will instantly recognise this name. For everyone else, Void Archives is a name that sends shivers down the spines of players who, in the HSR universe, once travelled with the Astral Express alongside Welt and even repaired “Shush” onboard. Now aligned with the Path of Finality, he’s rumoured to debut as a 5-star character.
- Luddokan: Another limited 5-star on the horizon, Luddokan remains shrouded in mystery. She’s tied to the Path of Enigmata, a faction notorious for bending, twisting, and disrupting history itself. Exactly how that philosophy translates into gameplay, though, is still a complete unknown.
That wraps up the complete list of leaked characters. As we noted at the start, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. While it’s likely that many of these characters will appear at some point in Edostar’s story, details about their kits and playability are almost certain to change. This is especially true since we’re still three patches away from Amphoreus’ conclusion.
