This is Aventurine's Signature Light Cone and is his best choice for damage. This Light Cone provides Aventurine with a significant amount of Base DEF and DEF %, a large CRIT DMG buff and applies a debuff to enemies increasing their DMG taken.

This 4★ Light Cone is available from the Battlepass and is a great build option and is Aventurines second best option. This Lightcone provides a large increase to shield effect. Shield Effect is not found very frequently and massively increases his overall team sustain and provides all allies with a moderate DMG increase.

This is 's Signature Light Cone and is relatively easy to obtain due to being in the Shop. This Light Cone provides a large amount of Base DEF from the cone itself and a lot of DEF % from the passive effect and effect. 4-Piece Set: Increases the Shield Effect provided by the wearer by 12.0%. When an ally target holds a Shield provided by the wearer, the ally target's CRIT DMG increases by 15.0%.

This Set Bonus provides a large amount of Shield Effect and grants all allies on the team CRIT DMG while Aventurine's Shield Persists. This Set provides a comparably sized shield boost to Knight of Purity Palace and provides more team DPS making it an upgrade.

2-Piece Set: Increases DEF by 15.0%.

4-Piece Set: Increases the max DMG that can be absorbed by the Shield created by the wearer by 20.0%.

This Set Bonus is great defence as it provides a lot of DEF while shield absorption increases are incredibly rate. Increasing the maximum size of Aventurines shields by 20% makes allies far more durable against damage and can save Skill Points because you may not need to refresh his Shield manually with his Skill.

This is another competitive Planar Ornament for Aventurine that provides 12% ATK for your main DPS. This is only useful with ATK-based Main DPS units. Currently there are very few non ATK-based main DPS units that make sense to run with Aventurine so this is an excellent all round choice if you want slightly more compatibility than .

2-Piece Set: When an ally uses a Follow-up ATK, the wearer gains 1 stack of Merit, stacking up to 5 time(s). Each stack of Merit increases the DMG dealt by the wearer's Follow-up ATKs by 5.0%. When there are 5 stacks, additionally increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 25.0%.

This Planar Ornament is the best for increasing Aventurines own damage contribution. Aventurines own damage contribution is relatively low without exceptional gear or vertical investment via Eidolons so this is not recommended over the support sets listed above.

Aventurine Build Comments

Aventurine's build revolves around stacking as much DEF as possible to provide shields to his Allies. Aventurines A2 Trace Leverage increases his CRIT Rate for every 100 DEF over 1600, capping at a 48% CRIT Rate increase at 4,000 DEF.

Aventurine does not need his best-in-slot Relic Set to be effective and can be geared using pieces that you obtained while farming for other characters that were previously unusable due to having DEF %. This does make him slightly weaker but the increased Trailblaze Power Efficiency is very nice if you have many units to build.

Aventurine has an important consideration while gearing — How much SPD to build. Aventurine is good no matter the SPD you have on him but it can affect how he operates in a team.
The faster your Aventurine is the more Skill Points he will generate for the rest of the team but the weaker his shields will be because you did not invest those sub stats into DEF % instead.
If Aventurine's shields end up becoming too weak you will end up using his Skill more often to supplement the shields generated by his Talent Shot Loaded Right and his A6 Trace Bingo!. This can result in less Skill Points generated than if he had more DEF and less SPD.
We suggest just using your relics that have the highest overall amount of SPD and DEF % rolls as having more stats is more impactful than having a singular stat.

In Follow-up teams that have very high hit frequency SPD is even more important as Follow-up ATK teams can cap out his A6 Trace Bingo!. If Aventurine is faster he get more turns resulting in more overall Shielding from Bingo even if he has less Defence from shifting the stat.
