If you are short on cash in Neverness to Everness, there is a really easy way to boost your funds early on. And no, even if it does involve stealing, you have no risk of ending up in prison! Players have started finding hidden safes across Hethereau that can be forced open for a big amount of Fons, and they are extremely easy to grab.
Altogether, just a few of these locations can net you close to 400,000 Fons with minimal effort. iKaito_1 has shared a video with all the locations, but we also made a recap for those who need more details to find them.
Safe #1 – Bank
One of the easiest safes is located inside the Bank near the Wertheimer Tower on the left of your map. Yes, you are basically stealing a safe right from the Bank. But do not worry, apparently the guards went on a very, very long lunch break.
- Enter the building
- Take the stairs on the right
- Head into the room marked with a large “B” on top
- The safe is in the top-right corner
You now own a 200,000 Fons that the Bank nicely let you pick up for free!
Safe #2 – Midas Arc Workshop
Another easy pickup can be found inside the Midas Arc Workshop. It is not located too far from the Bank, so you can walk or ride there directly.
- Go inside and head left
- Take the stairs
- Turn left again at the top
- The safe is tucked in the corner
Just like the bank, there is no real risk involved, and you will walk away with 100,000 Fons. Apparently, no one thinks that cameras or guards are needed, despite clearly leaving a safe open in places that are easily accessible.
Safe #3 – Northern Warehouse
At the top of the map near the Beyond the Rails entrance, there is a small warehouse guarded by enemies.
- Clear the enemies inside
- Loot the safe near the entrance (50,000 Fons)
- Check the right corner for a smaller safe (~1,200 Fons)
Safe #4 – Construction Site
On the far right side of the map, a construction site hides another safe. It is located further on top of where the Bank was.
- Clear out the enemies
- Climb up the wooden planks, where you will also find a Crow
- Reach the top level
- The safe is waiting there
So basically, these safes alone can give you enough Fons to buy a fancier car, start investing in housing, or simply make it overall easier for you. And the best part is that aside from a couple of enemy encounters, there is no real downside. The wanted system does not trigger from it, no penalties or risks, just free money for exploring.
