In WoW Forever, Blizzard has been purposefully obfuscating data related to item stats to prevent datamining. So far, this has been quite successful, with over 12,500 items being hidden in the game. However, as players continue to explore and push the limits of their level 20 characters, some have been forming raid groups to take down higher-level enemies. Overcoming these challenges has led players to discover some new loot with never-before-seen stats!
Thanks to sites such as Today in WoW, we are able to see all of the new items that players loot from the WoW Forever beta. Recently, players discovered a new set of Robes that allows their spells to Pierce their target’s Magical Resistance.
PvPers during The Burning Crusade may recognize this stat as Spell Penetration, which “decreased the magical resistances of your spell targets.” While worded differently, this new Spell Pierce stat does appear to have the same effect, essentially ignoring the target’s Magical Resistance by x amount. Items like this could be especially effective in PvP scenarios or against bosses who are resistant to certain schools of magic.
