With just one more day until the launch of WoW Forever, this is the last chance for players to create characters and reserve their names ahead of launch! Those who purchased the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Epic Pack, or Warcraft Forever Collection can create up to three characters this way, giving them a small head start, before jumping into the game tomorrow.
The harder part may actually be coming up with a compelling name, after so many years of using just a single moniker. There are a lot of tools to help with this, including online name generators, historical references, and translators to help find a spark of inspiration, though players can also try using the in-game randomizer, which will recommend a variety of names based on that particular race. Making a few small tweaks to these suggestions can be a great way of coming up with something unique.
While being able to reserve these names ahead of time is nice, players who aren’t able to shouldn’t feel too left out. The addition of last names in Forever makes it much easier to create a unique identity, even if either one of those names happens to be shared with other players. And who knows, you might just find a few long lost cousins during your adventures!
