In Classic, Warriors typically try to complete their Class quest to earn the coveted 
Whirlwind Axe as soon as they reach level 30, since this weapon is so drastically better than any other weapon in the level range. Now, in WoW Forever, it appears that Warriors aren’t the only class having all the fun, as players have begun to discover more level 30 weapon quests, beginning with Shaman.
The Level 30 Shaman Quest
u/MrPhage1 on r/classicwow recently shared their journey in reaching this milestone to become one of the first Shamans to earn the new Rage of the Storm weapon.
| Just a headsup for the 1000 shaman’s whispering me. Yes the Quest is in the game. You get it directly after receiving the wind totem quest. At first you have to loot the last boss in RFK. Afterwards you need to collect 20 Totems from all over Azeroth. 5 Totems from Murlocs in Dustwallow Marsh LvL 36-39 5 Totems from Centaurs in Desolace LvL 37-39 5 totems from Lost Ones in Swamp of Sorrows LvL 34-37 5 Totems from Troggs in Badlands LvL 39-??? Dropchance is around 25% I would guess. Afterwards you need to do a LvL 40 Elite Quest in Thousand Needles at the Waterpool where you defeat waves of Elementals and for the last wave an elite Quilltusk at lvl 39 or 40, combined with an Elite Water Elemental LvL ???. Afterwards it sends you to the Shaman guy in Alterac to hand in the quest and receive your weapon and a shield. Best of Luck! |
Weapon Rewards for Every Specialization
According to the post, it looks like players will receive the Elementalist’s Guard shield along with their choice of the Enhancement-focused Rage of the Storm, the Elemental-empowering Lightning’s Grasp, or the Tidebringer’s Claw healing weapon.
The level 30 portion of the beta has been available for less than 24 hours, and players are already pushing to level cap and earning their best-in-slot items. It’s inevitable that more quests, secrets, and powerful gear will be discovered as the beta continues. Time will tell whether the other classes will join Warriors and Shaman in their hunt for level 30 weapon quests!
