In today’s WoW Forever Beta Build, Blizzard is addressing a recurring issue for those testing: Respec costs are now 1 Silver per respec.
Respec costs in Classic WoW start at 1 Gold on your first respec, with subsequent respecs costing more and more gold (up to a cap of 50g per respec). In a beta test environment with levels capped at 20, the normal respec costs are quite prohibitive.
To fix this, during Beta testing, respec costs are being brought down to 1 silver. However, do keep in mind that the actual 1 silver price is on a 1-hour cooldown, so don’t go respeccing too often! This is only a thing for Beta, and respec prices will go back to their original prices when WoW Forever is released on November 4.
Classes
- If you have not recently changed your talents, the cost is now 1 silver to re-spec. This is temporary for the Beta only. After your first talent reset, the subsequent cost will be much higher, but it will drop to 1 silver after 1 hour has passed.
