After the most recent WoW Forever beta update, many Shamans logged in to find that their Ghost Wolf forms were shining much brighter than usual. In the Development Notes, Blizzard confirmed that this was an intentional change to allow Ghost Wolves to be more visible in well-lit areas.

Reactions to this bright blue hue have been mixed, with some players praising it as “peak” while others have likened the new visual effects to those of Force Ghosts from the Star Wars series.
Whether players enjoy this new visual or not, WoW Forever Senior Game Designer Aidan ‘Zirene’ Moon has confirmed that this is a temporary effect, since some zones, such as Duskwood, were making the Ghost Wolf completely invisible.
This glowing blue Ghost Wolf won’t be available for very long, as the team is working on a hotfix to reduce its brightness. Once a larger fix to visibility has been applied to the game, the Ghost Wolf will once again return to its Classic appearance, so enjoy it (or hate it) while it lasts!
