In less than seven weeks, players will be able to explore a new version of Azeroth in WoW Forever. As usual, every in-game journey starts at the Login Screen – and WoW Forever features a brand-new one!
A Clean Mix of Old and New
Community dataminer Stiven showcased the new WoW Forever Login Screen in an update on X:
Blizzard decided to keep the original look of WoW’s first login screen. From the very beginning, players were offered a small preview of Azeroth through the featured portal. This preview is based on concept art of Aerie Peaks, which eventually became the Hinterlands zone.
In WoW Forever’s login screen, the preview has changed:
Instead of a lush mountain landscape, the preview in WoW Forever looks more arid and barren – is it even Aerie Peaks anymore?
At BlizzCon, we have learned that WoW Forever’s timeline takes place after Warcraft 3: Reforged’s Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before Molten Core, and that several changes will be applied to how we experience WoW Classic’s original landscapes.
