WoW Forever has only been up for a few days, but we already have a world first… not one, but five level 60s!
The party that managed to hit the World First 60 in WoW Forever in a blazing 52 hours is composed of some known legends of the Classic speedrunning community: Jokerd, Cloudbells, Vitochie, Lmgd, and b_urning. They’re playing on the EU Normal realm ruleset!
Congratulations to them!
Mage AOE Grinding is Still King (For Speedrunning)
The party that reached level 60 is composed of three Mages, one Paladin, and one Shaman. They leveled with some AOE leveling normally, dedicating themselves to a full-time AOE grinding strategy at around level 35. They went through several common spots as they outleveled areas:
- Dreadmurk Shore in Dustwallow Marsh.
- Ruins of Zul’Mamwe in Stranglethorn Vale.
- Lost Rigger Cove in Tanaris.
- Dalson’s Tears and Gahron’s Withering in Western Plaguelands.
They also used consistent phasing to keep respawns coming, instead of waiting for mobs to show up again. A LOT of coordination was required near the end to make sure they all dinged 60 at the same time.

But What About Solo?
Although this was a group effort, solo playing can still be competitive! As of the time of posting, the highest-level solo player in WoW Forever is Ksuper!
Ksuper is playing a Beast Mastery Hunter also on the EU Normal ruleset, and he’s taking a more orthodox questing route. As of the time of posting, Ksuper is level 54 and 3 levels above third place, according to the World First 60 website.
