The level cap on the Beta for World of Warcraft: Forever has been raised to 30, and people have already started clearing the Scarlet Monastery dungeons. Many of the items dropping from bosses have been updated, and while the entire Monastery hasn’t been cleared yet, an update to the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade set bonus has been found in the data!
Interrogator Vishas
Let’s start by looking at drops from Graveyard. First up, a true classic has gotten a glow-up. The Torturing Poker Dagger from Interrogator Vishas is no longer dealing a static 5-7 fire damage, but instead deals increasingly more fire damage every time you attack a target. It’ll take a little longer to start dealing max damage, but once you’re at 10 stacks you’ll be guaranteed 10 additional fire damage with every attack. Bloody Brass Knuckles (also from Vishas), the Fist Weapon that used to be a white item, is now blue and gives a nice bonus to Attack Power, and even more when you are fighting Humanoids.
Bloodmage Thalnos
Bloodmage Thalnos also got an updated item, this time the Bloodmage Mantle shoulders. From green to blue, these cloth shoulders not only give Spell Power, but also restores 9 health per 5 sec! A nice addition for Life Tapping Warlocks perhaps?
Azshir the Sleepless
The Rare spawns in Graveyard also have some updated items. The Ghostshard Talisman neck from Azshir the Sleepless used to only give Stamina and Spirit, but now gives Attack Power with an additional bonus when fighting Undead. The Necrotic Wand, also from Azshir, is now a healing wand, and also gives a bit of Shadow resistance.
Houndmaster Loksey
Moving on to Library, Houndmaster Loksey is showing his true colors as we get to see the updated Loksey’s Training Stick Staff. No longer only useful against Beasts, but giving a flat bonus to Attack Power, with a chance on hit to deal additional physical damage. And if this proc hits a Canine or Hyena, they are stunned for 3 seconds (and they sit while stunned!). But apparently the stick wasn’t enough for Loksey, as he also drops a Houndmaster Boomerang. Increased Attack Power, more so against Beasts, and like any good boomerang it returns to your hand when thrown.
That’s as much as we have confirmed so far, but this weekend will surely continue to reveal more updated and new items from the Scarlet Monastery dungeons. Thank you to Today in WoW for providing data on these continuously new and updated items!
Updated Bonus for the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade Set
Like we mentioned at the top of this article, dataminers have found a new set bonus attached to the iconic Chain of the Scarlet Crusade set. While none of these items have dropped in game yet as far as we know, and as such isn’t 100% confirmed, this new set bonus has two completely new effects!
One is called Enraging Light, which has a 15% chance to proc when taking damage. The proc then causes your melee attacks to deal 20 additional Holy damage, and 3 times as much when fighting Undead.
The other is Scarlet Guardian, which grants an absorb shield when taking damage at or below 20% health. The shield lasts for 10 seconds, and can only trigger once every 4 minutes.
A great set for tanks, and anyone solo leveling out in the world! We’ll have to wait and see a little bit longer if this is how the set bonus plays out in game, but it’s an exciting update none the less.
Our team of writers are working on complete dungeon guides, and these will include the full loot tables of all bosses once they have been confirmed. Keep an eye on our Dungeon Guide Hub to stay up to date.
