The latest video on the Warcraft YouTube channel may have given us a glimpse at an SD version of the new Skyborne—though this hasn’t yet been confirmed.
Spotted by MrGM on X, one still from the video appears to show a Skyborne model with a seemingly lower definition model than the ones we’ve seen in-game so far.
An SD version of the Skyborne would make sense, especially as the current HD Skyborne can look a little out of place alongside some of Azeroth’s older character models. As samfoxy_ on Reddit pointed out, the new Skyborne Druid model looks “super jarring” when compared to the SD Night Elf Druid forms.
WoW Forever is bringing a mixture of updated and classic visuals and features to the game, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Blizzard make adjustments to help newer assets fit more cohesively into the game’s visual style. However, there has been no confirmation of an SD model for Skyborne yet.
