If you’ve been running higher Mythic+ keys in Midnight Season 1, you might have noticed one tank spec showing up everywhere while others barely appear. Data from Raider.IO posted to Reddit gives us a pretty clear picture of what the situation is—and what players are actually thinking.
The Reddit snapshots show Brewmaster Monks dominating high keys in Midnight S1, with all other tank specialisations appearing far less often. Compared to TWW S2 and S3, where the distribution was more even, this looks lopsided—partly because it’s still early in the season and only hardcore groups are pushing higher keys already.
What the Community is Saying
Community sentiment is that Brewmaster is the only tank that feels solid and reliable. But Brewmaster isn’t over powered—the other tanks just need a buff.
So what does that mean for Mythic+ keys? Brewmaster seems to be the “safe” pick right now, but of course, popularity isn’t everything. High keys predominantly rely on skill, awareness, and teamwork.
