Blizzard has revealed a new cross-game reward between World of Warcraft: Midnight and Diablo 4.
With WoW Midnight now live in early access, players can unlock a cosmetic pet in Diablo 4 simply by progressing through the new expansion. And yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: a demonically upgraded chicken carrying a tiny house on its back.
The pet is called the Bawkhaus, and it is one of the more unusual crossover rewards Blizzard has done in a while.
How To Unlock The Bawkhaus Pet
Unlocking it is rather straightforward. To get the pet in Diablo 4, you need to:
- Play through World of Warcraft: Midnightâs introduction questline
- Earn the âEchoes of Midnightâ achievement
Once that achievement is unlocked, the Bawkhaus Pet becomes available in Diablo 4 as a cosmetic companion.
Blizzardâs post simply states that âSanctuary rewards those who walk through Midnight,â confirming this is an official account-wide crossover bonus.
Other Blizzard Cross-Game Rewards
It is just a small cosmetic bonus, but it is another example of Blizzard encouraging players to move between its games, something we have seen more frequently across Warcraft, Diablo, and even Overwatch in recent years.
You can also obtain more rewards in other games by playing through midnight.
If you were already planning to play through Midnight, you might as well grab a pet for Sanctuary while you are at it!
And if you were not, well, now you have a chicken-shaped incentive.
