A recent Reddit post has sparked fresh laughter—and mild despair—across the World of Warcraft community. Luckycatsfoot was the first to notice that even statues get to keep their hair with the witch hat, posting a screenshot of Alleria’s statue looking effortlessly stylish. Hat on. Hair out.
For years, players have begged Blizzard to let characters keep visible hair while wearing hats, so if even statues get to keep their hair, why can’t we?
Well… maybe we finally can—sort of.
The Haranir Bring a Long Overdue Visual Upgrade
The Haranir, a new Allied Race coming in the Midnight expansion, are already turning heads with their elegant designs and nature-infused aesthetic. But it’s not just their lore or animations catching attention—it’s their hair. Under hats.
A second Reddit post shows what looks like visible hair beneath an equipped witch hat. If true, this would make the Haranir the first playable race in WoW history to retain their hair while wearing hats—something players have wanted since, well… forever.
Hope or Happy Accident?
There’s just one catch: this new feature might be a bug. It’s unclear whether Blizzard intentionally implemented adaptive hair layering for the Haranir, or if it’s just a lucky side effect of new model rigging.
For now, though, all we can do is hope the Haranir get to keep their hair—and maybe someday, we’ll all get to do the same.
