The following guide covers the Haranir Allied Race available to players in the Midnight expansion.

1.

Introduction

The Haranir are ancient hunters of a hidden land with glowing bioluminescent features. First introduced to the players in The War Within expansion, the Haranir are available as a playable class in Midnight Expansion.

Ferocious, watchful guardians, the Haranir keep an ever-present vigil over the wild domains of their long-absent Goddess, in hopes that she might one day return.

Unlock Requirements

The Haranir are unlocked by completing the achievement Allied Race: Haranir Icon Allied Race: Haranir. This achievement requires playing through the main campaign in Harandar, the third zone in Midnight.

Racial Abilities

The Haranir have access to the following racial abilities:

Active Abilities

  • Rootwalking Icon Rootwalking: Perform a ritualistic dance to teleport to the Cradle. Casting this spell while near a world tree's roots within Harandar allows you to travel to that world tree.
  • Thorn Bloom Icon Thorn Bloom: Command powerful thorns to assault 8 enemies and heal 8 allies within 10 yards of the target area. Enemies take Nature damage and receive a Nature damage DOT for 12 seconds, and allies are healed immediately and receive a HOT for 12 seconds. 3 minute cooldown.

Passive Abilities

  • Lash Out Icon Lash Out: Critical Strike Damage and Healing increased by 1%.
  • One With Nature Icon One With Nature: Increase Herbalism skill by 5 and increases Finesse by 10. Finesse increases the chance of gathering additional materials.
  • Subterranean Predator Icon Subterranean Predator: Experience gains from killing Aberrations, Beasts and Elementals increased by 10%. Damage deals to Aberrations, Beasts and Elementals increased by 1%.

Playable Classes

The Haranir can play all classes except for Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Evokers, and Paladins.

  • Druid;
  • Hunter;
  • Mage;
  • Monk;
  • Priest;
  • Rogue;
  • Shaman;
  • Warlock;
  • Warrior.

Harandar

A primordial, fungal jungle built around the roots of the World Trees where all manners of life are derived fromt he plant matter that spans this zone including fungal towers, moss bridges, and bioluminescent wildlife.

This zone is home of the Haranir, with Haranir characters able to teleport there at any point via the Rootwalking racial ability.

Haranir is home to the Blinding Vale dungeon, the Gulf of Memory and Grudge Pit delves, and the Dreamrift raid.

Druid Forms

The Haranir Druid forms are heavily inspired by either subterranean or cavern-dwelling creatures, such as pangolins, bats and axolotls.

Each Haranir Druid form has different customizations, allowing you to change things like colors, ears and noses. You can customize your Druid forms at any Barber Shop.

Shaman Totems

The Haranir Shaman totems are heavily inspired by the world roots and their environment in Harandar.

Racial Mounts

The Haranir Racial mount is the Ivory Grimlynx Icon Ivory Grimlynx, obtained when first unlocking the Haranir as an Allied Race.

Haranir Customization Options

Haranir characters have access to hundreds of customization options, including skin colors, face, body paints and much more. Here's some of the customization options previewed by Blizzard during Gamescom 2025.
