With the release of the Voidforge coming in this week Patch 12.0.5, players can complete a series of quests from Decimus to save themselves some time when the Voidforge goes live.
What is the Voidforge?
The Voidforge is a new feature in Patch 12.0.5 acting as the turbo boost of the season. It allows players to target specific pieces of gear using a currency known as
Nebulous Voidcores. Players can spend these after completing a Mythic+ Dungeon, Bountiful Delve, Prey Hunt on Nightmare difficulty, or defeating a raid boss to guarantee a piece of gear. There’s bad luck protection involved, so players can’t get the same piece twice until they’ve gone through the loot pool.
Ascendant Voidcores allow players to increase the item level of fully upgraded trinkets and weapons from both Heroic and Myth tracks, up to a maximum item level of 298.
Building the Voidforge
The initial quest can be picked up from Decimus in The Howling Ridge in Voidstorm: Building the Voidforge. It requires players to collect three
Elementary Voidcore Shards. These shards can be obtained by killing raid bosses, completing Bountiful Delves, or by doing Mythic+ dungeons. After collecting all three, you can turn the quest in to Decimus and give you progress on the Voidforge.
- He is located at 51.2, 68.4.

An Elementary Voidforge
The questline continues with the repeatable quest, An Elementary Voidcore. It has the same requirements as the previous quest, and completing it will reward you with progress on your Voidforge.
If you’re behind in progress, you’ll be given the quest again until you fill your Voidforge progress bar. Progress is warband-wide, meaning you can complete the quest on alts as well to gain progress without restarting.
You can currently earn progress up to 5/5 before its full release, so it’s ready for the last quest.
