Get 5% Free Versatility in Den of Nalorakk – Mythic+ Tip

Over the next few days, we’ll share quick M+ tips to run that much more smoothly, helping you reach your goals faster this season. Today, it’s a quick trick for Den of Nalorakk that gives you a huge 5% versatility bonus for 20 minutes if done properly!

Warding Incense in Den of Nalorakk

There’s one requirement: your group must have a Druid (any spec) or an Alchemist with 25+ skill in Midnight Alchemy.

By having either of those requirements, you can interact with both altars located in the first area of the dungeon. You can see the locations below.

Here is how the altars look:

Interacting with the altars grants the player and nearby allies the Warding Incense iconWarding Incense buff, which increases Versatility by 5% for 10 minutes. Note that if you’re a druid, you must shapeshift into Bear Form iconBear Form to interact with the altars.

How to Best Use Warding Incense

We recommend picking the buff from Altar 1 right as your key starts. Then, you can pick the buff from Altar 2 either right before or right after you defeat the first boss, The Hoardmonger, depending on your speed in clearing the first part of the dungeon.

Doing this provides your group with 5% increased versatility for up to 20 minutes. This buff for the whole group typically sheds about 2 or more minutes of the timer with the damage increase and damage taken reduction.

Important: Picking the second altar does not provide a new stack of the buff. It only refreshes the duration back to 10 minutes. This means that you want to interact with the second altar as the first buff is expiring or has expired already.
