Players expected Legion Remix to end with a bang! But Phase 5 has landed with a soft thud, leaving players wondering why Blizzard hyped it at all. Catch-up opportunities, Remix content updates, and more rewards were all advertised for the final stretch—yet very little has really materialized.

So What’s Actually New?
Not much. The only recent reward additions were
Illusion: Nightmare,
Illusion: Chronos, and the Legion-themed housing decor… except both of these showed up before Phase 5 even launched.
Thraun Gaming highlights that players were expecting to see some of the unused Legion Assault appearances, or at least the existing tints that are usually a pain to get on live servers. But that didn’t happen either.
The
Reins of the Thorignir Drake, previously spotted on the PTR, is also still missing from Remix. This is a particularly sore spot for players who claimed this is “the one thing [they] wanted the most.”
“Catch-Up” Mechanics
Instead of adding catch-up mechanics, Blizzard has somehow managed to give players more to catch up to. The item level cap has been increased to 779, but gear isn’t the real gatekeeper in Remix—
Bronze is. No
Bronze catch-up mechanics have been added, leaving players feeling like this phase doesn’t actually help anyone catch up at all.
All of this leaves Phase 5 feeling like an underwhelming end to what has been an extremely fun event. It’s possible that the shift of resources towards the new Player Housing took most of Blizzard’s time. But even then, players weren’t expecting something huge—just something in line with Blizzard’s own marketing.
