With the weekly reset, Algeth’ar Academy quietly received a nerf this week, seeing the timer increase by a minute to 30 minutes.
Hardest Dungeon of the Season
Players are noticing the difference in difficulty with Algeth’ar Academy early in the season. It’s a big outlier in terms of timed runs, being significantly behind all of the others with only 77.32% of runs being timed, nearly 7% behind the next dungeon.
Algeth’ar Academy also has some RP elements, which make timing the dungeon even more challenging.
Even at the high end of key pushing, players are finding it to be tough. At the time of writing, it is still the only dungeon without a timed +20, according to Raider.io.
Plenty of Changes Early
Prior to the start of the Mythic+ season, Algeth’ar Academy saw some buffs with some of the other dungeons in rotation, only to receive some nerfs the following week.
We’ll have to wait and see how this new nerf plays out, but an additional minute should help more players time it, increasing its completion rate.
