Prior to Dragonflight, players were wondering what Blizzard’s direction was going to be with raid buffs. Several classes brought no buffs, while others brought certain buffs, making those classes more desirable than others.
The release of Evoker and
Blessing of the Bronze, the return of
Mark of the Wild as a true raid buff, rogue’s gaining
Atrophic Poison, followed by
Hunter’s Mark in 10.2, Blizzard made it very clear that they wanted each class to have their own. The War Within brought several changes to most raid buffs which included adding one for Shaman,
Skyfury.
So, if you’re looking at a new class heading into Midnight. Here’s what buff you bring to your raid and dungeon group.
Changes going into Midnight
Only hunters are seeing a change to their raid buff from TWW, making it now impactful for the duration of a raid fight, instead of only at the start.

Throughput Buffs
Throughput buffs provide stat bonus to the raid by increasing stats, providing damage reduction, or increasing boss damage taken.

Utility
Death Knights and Warlocks remain the only two classes without a throughput raid buff, but they bring a benefit through unique utility exclusive only to their classes.
Death Knights offer grips which will bring adds to their location. Blood gets an additional choice node two different an AoE grips.
For Warlocks, they bring a gateway to help quickly move a raid group to a location, along with wipe protection in
Soulstone.
