So, you’ve reached level 90, completed the Midnight campaign, and now you’re gearing before Season 1 starts on 17th March. Here’s how to claim the pre-season BiS trinket.
Visiting Voidstorm
Reaching Renown 7 with The Singularity allows you to pick up the quest Guarded Treasures from Void Researcher Anomander (/way 52.5, 72.9).
This quest requires you to complete the Stormarion Assault event in Voidstorm. You’ll then be rewarded with 
Crucible of Erratic Energies—a 246 item level Champion track trinket.
It may sound like a grind, but Renown 7 is reached easily. Complete the campaign, open some treasures, kill a few rares, and you’ll be there!
Void Research
The Crucible of Erratic Energies trinket is linked to the Void Research Console, which is unlocked at Renown 2. Usually, the Void Research traits are only available when in Voidstorm, however, using this trinket gives these abilities a chance to proc anywhere in Azeroth.
Completing the weekly Stormarion Assault quest will allow you to progress your Void Research, hence upgrading your trinket.
