Recraft This Slot Before 11.2 or Regret It for the Rest of the Expansion

Stan's Avatar by Stan

Patch 11.2 introduces Reshii Wraps, a new Artifact cloak that you will keep until the end of the expansion. That means if your embellishment is on your current cloak, it’s time to recraft it, ahead of the patch’s launch!

Why Your Cloak is Getting Benched

Reshii Wraps is a new Best-in-Slot cloak rewarded to players upon completing the fourth chapter of the K’aresh campaign in Patch 11.2. During launch week, only the first three campaign chapters will be available, which means the cloak is timegated until the week of August 12.

Therefore, if you have an embellishment on your current cloak, it’s time to recraft a different slot because what you have now equipped in the Back slot will soon be trashed, as Reshii Wraps is expected to be the new BiS cloak until the Midnight expansion.

What You Need to Do Right Now?

If you’re coming from Patch 11.1.7 to Patch 11.2, you should use the Work Order system or your own crafting to craft new wrists and apply the embellishment there.

With the start of Season 3, you won’t be able to craft a 681 piece anymore.

Which Slots to Ignore?

The Soul Hunters (optional Manaforge Omega raid boss) drops boots for all classes that interact with your cloak, so DO NOT craft boots. Similarly, there’s a set for casters comprised of a weapon and a trinket from the raid, so don’t craft those slots either.

Ideally, you want to craft a new wrist piece and apply the embellishment there.

The Downsides

While this tip is useful and solid, some players noted that this is a waste of gold because embellishments don’t scale with item level in The War Within, so your 681 embellished piece will most likely be replaced with a new season item anyway until you have enough Season 3 sparks to craft it at maximum item level.
