While a new patch is dropping with this reset, it’s not going to change much. And so it’s time to take a look at how the tanks and healers are performing in the dungeons and raids! As you might expect on the tank side, everything is coming up Druid, although one spec beat it in the damage department in raids. Healing is slightly more diverse, but a certain Monk is very much dominating the field.
Mythic+ Dungeons
Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, granting only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point
Tanks, All Percentiles
Completely unsurprisingly, Guardian is destroying everyone else in the dungeons. It’s by far the most played tank (and was the most played spec overall last time we checked) and is the best-performing as well. However, it’s not that incredibly far from Brewmaster in the below chart. The rest of the pack is basically identical, with Blood getting a slight upper hand and Protection Warr pulling the short straw.
Healers, All Percentiles
Mistweaver broke through to the top of the healers a few weeks ago, getting a major surge in popularity as well. It’s managed to hold off Resto Shaman so far, but the once-ruler is gunning for the Monk. Disc and Holy Pala are ahead of the pack behind the top two, while Preservation and Resto Druid sit at the bottom.
Raids
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Healer HPS, All Percentiles
Disc is on top in the actual healing done chart, but just barely, as Mistweaver is only in second due to a few very poorly performing players down in the 30th-40th percentile range. Preservation is holding very steady in third, with Resto Druid in an almost identical spot.
Tank DPS, All Percentiles
The tank damage chart is probably the least relevant here, but we’re taking a look anyway! Warriors sit on top, but again, only due to a few poorly performing Guardians. Otherwise, the Druid would be very much on top.
