These Mounts Are Coming to the Trading Post in Patch 12.0.7

Patch 12.0.7 will go live on June 16, and we’re taking a closer look at the Trading Post mounts that are coming in the latest update!

Goblin Rocket Mounts

Patch 12.0.7 adds four goblin rocket mounts, for 700 Trader’s Tender each. Two of the mounts have names and flavor text. The other two mounts still have placeholder names, which means they will likely be available later on.

Buzzard Mount

Patch 12.0.7 adds one buzzard mount for 550 Trader’s Tender.

With the name and coloration, it is very likely a reference to Zaricotl, the rare NPC from the Badlands. Zaricotl was a terror in the zone during Classic WoW, being a much higher-level mob (55) compared to the recommended Badlands zone level at the time (36-45). In Cataclysm, it lost its elite status but gained a unique white coloration.

“The white buzzards are some of the rarest in all the Badlands. Rumor has it that one may even be caught and tamed to fight alongside hunters.”

When Can We Expect to See the New Mounts in the Trading Post?

We have known the themes for all Trading Post months in 2026 since late last year, so we can estimate when they are expected to appear.

The goblin rockets are themed around fireworks, both in their names and the literal fireworks strapped to the backs of the rockets. According to the datamining from last year, the July 2026 theme is literally Fireworks!. This makes it not entirely unexpected for these mounts to show up then.

For the Badlands Buzzard, its flavor text is centered on hunter taming, so it could theoretically fit in the Friendship theme for September 2026.
