Blizzard announced changes to 
Ascendant Voidshard drop rates coming with tomorrow’s hotfixes. The rates are being adjusted for Heroic and Mythic boss kills, Mythic+ 10 and higher completions, T11 Delves, T5 Ritual Sites, and Nightmare Prey boxes. All other content will see the drop rates of the shards reduced. Here are the full details.
Later in the day tomorrow, May 13, we intend to deploy hotfixes to adjust Ascendant Voidshard drop rates. Our goal with these changes is not to slow down acquisition rates overall, but to better align the value of Voidshards as a reward with the activities players are participating in.
After these changes go live, Ascendant Voidshards will drop at a 100% rate from:
- Heroic and Mythic raid kills.
- Mythic+ 10 or higher completions, with no cap.
- Delve Tier 11 bountiful chests.
- Nightmare Prey Champion gear boxes.
They will also drop slightly more often from Ritual Sites at Tier 5 difficulty.
In all other content not listed above, (e.g. Ritual Sites Tiers 1-4) the drop rates of Ascendant Voidshards will be reduced.
