Remember the
S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera from Warlords of Draenor? Well, it seems like Blizzard are giving us a tech upgrade! On the Midnight Beta, a new toy has come into focus—the Pin-o-Matic
Camera.
The toy’s use states: Frame the perfect shot and capture the moment. (2 Sec Cooldown). Cool, another
S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera. But on closer inspection of the flavour text, it seems we will be able to “share” these photos.

The Evidence
MrGM on X did some more digging, and found an achievement linked to the toy in the “Promotion” section:
Craft Your World Scouring through GlobalStrings.db2, he found references to “PHOTO_SHARING” and “Sites”. You can read MrGM’s post here.
The evidence, up to this point, hinted towards potential photo-sharing across social media platforms. That was until we saw the Coming Home cinematic.
Housing Integration
@marlam.in on Bluesky took the investigation one step further. Running /run HousingPhotoSharingFrame:Show() on the Beta toggles the new window below.
/run HousingPhotoSharingFrame:Show() on Beta shows this and there’s multiple new strings for logging in to an online service with an e.g. Google account. Connected to that new camera toy, perhaps? Hmmmmmm….

It seems to be a pipeline for uploading screenshots for sharing. And what would be a more perfect use for this than Player Housing? @marlam.in noticed a framed in-game screenshot during the Coming Home cinematic.
Now, with such an authored uploading pipeline, this could be the perfect way to tackle in-game framed pictures. And lo and behold, the new housing cinematic, which featured a lot of decor/housing features, has a framed in-game screenshot. Is that just set dressing or a tease? Hmm, suspicious…

Will Midnight allow us to use the Pin-o-Matic
Camera to decorate our homes with pictures of our friends and guildies? The evidence is strong, but we’ll have to wait and see.
