WoW Players Are Calling This New Children’s Week Toy a Must-Have for Raid Breaks

Emma's Avatar by Emma

Children’s Week returns to Azeroth today. Running from 27th April – 4th May, there are plenty of achievements and rewards to get your hands on!

Whilst 2026 doesn’t bring much newness, there is a new toy—the Nap Mat iconNap Mat. The new toy summons a mat in front of you, which can be interacted with to send you into a deep sleep. Players are calling this a must-have for raid breaks and roleplay, so make sure to get yours this week!

Children’s Week in WoW: Midnight

What’s New in 2026

  • Children’s Week comes to Midnight’s reimagined Silvermoon City in Quel’Thalas!
  • New Toy: Nap Mat
  • A new Children’s Week vendor is standing near the Holiday Enthusiast, between the Auction House and the Trading Post.

Orphans from All Over Azeroth

Visit Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind, Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar, Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath, Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran, Caretake Padae in Dazar’alor, or Orphan Matron Westerson in Boralus, or Matron in Training Ullna in Khaz Algar and make a child’s dream come true!

There are a handful of orphans, eager for adventure, to choose from:

  • Horde Orphans: Azala, Grunth, Salandria
    • Maybe little Salandria would like a visit to the Sunwell—hint, hint.
  • Alliance Orphans: Randis, Dornaa, and Liam
  • Neutral Orphans: Roo (Eventide and Dalaran), Kekek (Eventide and Dalaran), Destien (Azj-Kahet, Dornogal, and Undermine), Kitzy (Azj-Kahet, Dornogal, and Hallowfall), Skibbles (Dornogal), and Threadis (Azj-Kahet, Dornogal, and Hallowfall).

Currency and Rewards

Players can select the Well-loved Figurine as a reward for completing a Children’s Week questline. The Well-loved Figurine is Warbound, takes up a bag slot, is only redeemable during Children’s Week, and disappears once the holiday event concludes.

Completing select Children’s Week activities with your little protégé in tow also helps to fill up your bar in the Traveler’s Log.

Exchange the Well-loved Figurine for any of the Children’s Week pets or transmog items from vendors near the Orphan Matrons in Dornogal (Jepetto Joybuzz, Stormwind (Brundia Braidhammer), and Orgrimmar (Leial Knitterton).

Left to Right: Argos, Helpful Workshop Bot, and Goggles

Showing your orphaned child around can benefit you and the child. Once you’ve completed the various quests associated with this event, you’ll have a choice of several pets to add to your Battle Pet collection, and this is the only Week of the year when you can obtain pets:

  • Khaz Algar: Helpful Workshop Bot, Argos, and Goggles
  • Boralus and Zuldazar: Mr. Crabs, Beakbert, Froglet, and Scaley
  • Dalaran (Northrend): Curious Oracle Hatchling, Curious Wolvar Pup

If you’ve already collected all these pets over the years, you’ll get the Pet Care Package, which provides a variety of items, including pug costumes, a Magical Pet Biscuit, and a Flawless Battle-Stone.

The WoW Classic version of Children’s Week is also available for the giving souls of the Horde and the Alliance to help make orphan dreams come true. Talk to an Orphan Matron to pick up a pal you can guide around Azeroth.

When: 27 April–4 May

Players level 10 and above can visit Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind (Alliance), Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar (Horde), Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath (Neutral), or Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran (Neutral) and make a child’s dream come true.

Champions of the Horde can adopt Orc and Blood Elf orphans, while the heroes of the Alliance can adopt Human and Draenei orphans. Both factions can adopt either of the Oracles or the Frenzyheart Tribe orphans.

Upon completing the requested tasks from a chosen orphan, players have their choice of a cute, non-combat pet! These pets are account-wide, so feel free to share them with your alts.
