Your Raid Buff Anxiety Is Finally Getting Fixed in Midnight

Picture the scene: you and your guild are waiting to start your twentieth attempt to kill the raid boss. There are three priests, but has anyone cast Power Word: Fortitude iconPower Word: Fortitude yet?

You have two options. One: cast it three times just to make sure everyone, including the stragglers, have the buff. Or two: forget until half way through the pull, five people are already dead, but you throw a cast out mid-attempt, just in case it changes anything.

Fear no more, party buff-havers! Come Midnight, party buff spells will glow on your bars if there are members in your group without the buff.

It’s a small change indeed, but nevertheless, a welcome one. This is the latest change in a string of updates to improve accessibility in World of Warcraft, so new users don’t feel as overwhelmed jumping into Azeroth for the first time. Changes have included updates to the new and returning player experience and Lorewalking quests, with more changes to come in Midnight as Blizzard replace third-party combat addons with native features.

This is yet another small step in the right direction towards making WoW more approachable.
