HoYoverse has dropped a last-minute Zenless Zone Zero livestream for October 14, just one day before Version 2.3 launches. And on top of that, a new Krampus agent named Banyue has suddenly appeared!
What is going on?
So… Another Livestream? Right Before Launch?!
Zenless Zone Zero is pulling a fast one again. Version 2.3 is literally dropping this Wednesday, October 15, and we already had the big livestream covering everything: Lucia, Manato, events, you name it.
But now, HoYoverse has randomly announced another “Special Livestream” on October 14 at 22:00 (UTC+8) / 16:00 PM CEST, so just one day before the version launches.
And yeah, everyone is confused. They have never done this before, not for Genshin, not for Honkai: Star Rail, not even for ZZZ itself.
The promo art does not clear anything up either: it is just Lucia, Eous, and… her feet. The caption says, “Through the long night, Lucia will guard your sweet dreams,” which sounds more like a cryptic bedtime story than an update teaser.
Could it be an extra event? A dream sequence? A surprise announcement? Nobody knows, but it is happening, and players are definitely staying up to find out.

Meanwhile… A Giant Kitty Robot Appears
As if things were not already weird enough, HoYoverse also decided to drop a new agent out of nowhere: Banyue, from the Krampus Compliance Authority (same faction as Dialyn).
He is basically a massive monk-looking robot with serious cat energy, and the community is already calling him a “giant kitty robot,” and honestly… fair enough, I can not unsee it now.
Banyue is all about justice, shouting lines like:
“How dare you vile creatures tread upon the lands under my protection!“
According to his reveal, he is a Fire Rupture agent, and that immediately puts him up against Manato, another Fire Rupture agent arriving this week.
So yeah… we are getting an amazing new A-Rank (Manato) on Wednesday, and then possibly an S-Rank kitty monk right after who might be better than him. Classic HoYoverse timing.
Guess we will find out soon enough what all this is about! Just maybe keep an eye out for any more surprises this week!
