The Angels of Delusion are finally here in Zenless Zone Zero! After the release of Sunna in the previous banner, the second member of the faction has now arrived, with Aria officially joining the roster.
Players had been waiting a long time for these characters. The faction was teased before the game even launched, so seeing them finally arrive one by one has been a big moment for fans. And judging by their cool animations and idol-themed combat style, the Angels definitely bring their own flavor to the game.
But with limited pulls and another Angel of Delusion still expected to arrive later, many players are wondering the same thing: is Aria actually worth summoning right now?
First Proper Ether Anomaly DPS Agent

Aria is the first true Ether Anomaly DPS Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Her kit revolves around applying anomaly effects and dealing constant Ether damage, making her a fairly straightforward damage dealer.
The good news is that she does not require complicated setups to start working. Even at M0, Aria performs well, and her gameplay is easy to pick up. If you like characters that are simple to play but still effective, she fits that description pretty well.
She also brings the same unique style the Angels of Delusion are known for. Her animations are very much built around the idol theme, and things get even better when you run multiple Angels in the same team.
In terms of raw performance, Aria is strong but not gamebreaking. She is similar to other Anomaly DPS characters and does not outperform them.
Zenless Zone Zero Tier ListHow Aria Fits With the Angels of Delusion

Where things get more interesting is when you look at team synergy.
Aria naturally works very well with Sunna, who can both activate Aria’s Core skill and buff her DMG. The two characters already form a solid base if you are planning to build around the faction.
On top of that, Aria’s best team will most likely include Nangong Yu. The third member of the Angels of Delusion is supposed to be Aria’s best Stun Agent. We can also consider the fact that Aria’s Basic Attack has a unique effect when charging, when other Agents in your squad are Angels as well.
Should You Pull for Aria?
Aria is a solid DPS with a clear role, but she is not the kind of character that every player needs to rush for.
If you are planning to build an Angels of Delusion team, and you already pulled Sunna, then Aria makes a lot of sense to pick up. The two characters were clearly designed to work well together.
It is also important to mention that you can currently obtain free cosmetic items if you pull for one or more Angels of Delusion. Even if those are only simple “phone” decorations, for those who like cosmetics, it can be a good reason to pull for the character.

On the other hand, if you are just looking for the strongest possible Anomaly DPS, Aria does not massively outperform the alternatives already available in the game.
For now, Aria is strong, cool-looking, and fun to use, but not a must-pull unless you are investing in the Angels Faction.
