Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.8 is going live this week, and HoYoverse decided to make it a lot easier for players to come back to the game after a really long time. They officially revealed a full overhaul of the “Back in Business” event, turning it into a much more rewarding catch-up system for people who have not played for a few weeks or longer.
How to Trigger the Event
The Back in Business event is sadly not open to everyone. To access it, you need to meet a few simple conditions:
- Reach Inter-Knot Level 20 and complete Chapter 1 Intermission
- Stay offline for 14 days (if you have never triggered it before)
- Or stay offline for 42 days
Once activated, you will immediately receive 100 Polychromes, and more rewards will unlock over time. Keep in mind that if you took advantage of this event before, it will not trigger after 14 days only. You would have to stay offline for 42 days in this case.
What You Get for Returning
Basically, the updated event now includes multiple rewards that will help you catch up quickly. You first get a “Reset Check-In,” where you have to log in for 3 days total to earn 320 Polychromes + 20 Prepaid Power Cards.
Then you have the “Polychrome Supply” (for 42+ day returners)
- Earn 100% bonus Polychromes from playing through any content of the game
- This one can have a cap depending on the inactivity duration
You also get an upgrade Boost with!
- Double drops on some activities:
- Combat Simulation (20 runs)
- Area Patrol (5 runs)
- Expert Challenge (3 runs)
- Extra level-up materials through Business Gifts
- Business Guide
- Additional missions with extra rewards (varies based on your account)
Keep in mind that once you return, the event lasts only 16 days, so you only have a bit over 2 weeks to get everything. This means that you should come back only if you are sure you can play for at least a few days after returning. Otherwise, you would lose some pretty interesting rewards and bonuses. That gives you a decent window to grab everything, but you will still need to log in consistently and farm for things to get the most out of it.
