Zenless Zone Zero is getting ready to welcome its next character, and ahead of her release next week, Cissia just got her official demo.
Titled “The Dereliction of Suspect X,” the trailer gives a mix of story, personality, and just a bit of chaos. Let’s be honest, that fits her pretty well.
A Case That Spirals Out of Control
The demo centers around an incident at the Fourteenth Street precinct. An attack took place overnight, led by an unknown group.
Cissia is questioned about it because she was supposed to be there, and she immediately denies everything. According to her version of events, she was not even there. She had just shown up to retrieve some evidence and somehow ended up taking down the intruders herself.
Naturally, things do not quite add up. Turns out Cissia has a slight snacking problem, and she did not really appreciate being interrupted during snack time by a group of criminals trying to steal some evidence.
From Hero to Fined Employee
Despite claiming she handled the situation, things do not exactly go in her favor.
By the end of the scene, the whole incident has been reported up the chain of command, and instead of praise, she is hit with disciplinary action, and Zhu Yuan knows exactly how to punish her. Not only is everything being submitted to Commissioner Lowell, but she will also lose one month of salary, and she will be forced to clean up the precinct!

Not exactly a win…
What Cissia Brings to Teams
Outside of the story, Cissia is going to be a strong addition gameplay-wise, if you like Electric Attack teams. She is an S-Rank Electric Sub-DPS, mainly designed to support Electric teams. Her kit focuses on:
- Increasing Crit DMG for the entire squad
- Providing Defense Ignore for Electric damage
She is expected to pair especially well with Electric Attack Agents like Seed, filling a similar role to support-style Agents, but more focused on boosting raw damage output for that specific element.
Like most character demos, this one is less about mechanics and more about selling the character, and it does a pretty good job. Between the chaotic interrogation, the questionable decision-making, and the very real consequences at the end, Cissia comes across as both capable and completely overwhelmed by her own situation.
