One of the biggest surprises from the Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0 Special Program was the announcement that every player will receive the new S-Rank Agent Pyrois for free through the main story.
But it turns out HoYoverse has even bigger plans for him/her.
New information shared during the Season 3 reveal confirms that you will also be able to obtain all of Pyrois’ upgrades simply by playing through the new content arriving in Roscaelifer.
More Than Just a Free S-Rank
Pyrois joins your team as part of the Version 3.0 main story, making him one of the most accessible S-Rank Agents the game has ever introduced. Without revealing too much, it makes sense, of course, since Pyrois is technically an important character linked very closely to our Proxy. But no one was 100% sure it would be free. However, we now know that Pyrois can be obtained simply by playing through the Main Story.
But HoYoverse had another surprise! They also confirmed that you will be able to unlock ALL of his Mindscapes and his W-Engine for free as well, through Season 3.
2 of the Mindscapes can already be unlocked during 3.0 by collecting Pixel Fairy Tales, and Pyrois’ signature W-Engine can be obtained by progressing through the new Interboo account system that arrives alongside Season 3.
That means that you will not only receive the character for free, but can also immediately begin upgrading him for free.
Only two Mindscapes have been officially confirmed so far, but the remaining upgrades should be distributed across future Season 3 versions, so basically everyone can eventually fully build the character without spending a single Polychrome. And that is pretty cool.
New Outfit for Belle and Wise
Season 3 also introduces a new outfit for Belle and Wise. As the story moves to Roscaelifer, the siblings arrive under the identity of exchange students, so that means both protagonists receive a new school-themed uniform for the region.
Just like the outfit introduced during the Suibian Temple storyline, the new look can be customized with various accessories, so you can really personalize their appearance during your exploration of the Celestial Nexus.
Not only that, but HoYverse also confirmed that all the older accessories are finally unlocked and can be equipped on ANY outfit you want, including on the new one, in theory. However, that remains to be confirmed once version 3.0 launches.
