Zhuang Fangyi is the new upcoming 6-Star Electric Striker in Arknights: Endfield. She also happens to be the Viceroy of the Wuling Scientific Developmental District, but in combat, she is clearly built for something very different: sustained Electric damage built around chaining effects rather than simple burst.
When you first look at it, her kit seems pretty straightforward, but in practice, it is more about how you set it up rather than just spamming buttons. Her Operator Combat Demo has just been released, so you can have a pretty good look at what she can do!
How Does Zhuang Fangyi Play
Most of Zhuang Fangyi’s damage comes from a loop involving Electrification and something called Sunderblades. You apply or consume Electrification, generate blades, then those blades trigger chained Thunder Strikes.
That is the main idea. Everything else just basically feeds into it.
Her Ultimate is where things really change because she enters a “powered state” where:
- Her basic attacks get stronger
- Her skill becomes more efficient and applies Electrification more reliably
- Her combo skill turns into an AoE version with faster cycling
- The first skill used in this state is basically “free value” and always generates maximum blades
It is clearly a phase you need to take advantage of, and most of her damage should be released into that timeframe.
Possible Teams
It is still early, but we do know enough to recommend a few teams already because Zhuang Fangyi is quite dependent on who she is paired with. Right now, most players recommend combos such as:
- Fangyi + Perlica + Antal + Arclight
- Fangyi + Perlica + Ardelia + Arclight
- Fangyi + Perlica + Avywenna + Arclight
The important thing to remember with her is timing. Her whole kit falls apart a bit if Electrification cycles do not line up with her Skill windows.
Zhuang Fangyi definitely looks strong, and if you play her properly, the effort should definitely feel rewarding!
