Blizzard just delivered the biggest surprise in the history of the franchise during the 30th Anniversary Spotlight. The rumors were true, but the scale was vastly underestimated: the Warlock is officially coming to every active Diablo title!
This “Triple Reveal” is the first time a single class has been developed to launch across the entire series simultaneously. Here is a quick breakdown of which Diablo games will get the Warlock:
- Diablo 4: Arriving with the Lord of Hatred expansion on April 28, 2026, as the dark “frontline caster” counterpart to the Paladin.
- Diablo 2 Resurrected: Part of a massive overhaul titled Reign of the Warlock (available TODAY!). This is the first new class for the classic engine in over 20 years, featuring unique “mental” weapon-wielding and demon binding.
- Diablo Immortal: Joining the mobile roster with a unique set of demonic skills in June 2026
One Class, Three Generations of Sanctuary
No matter the game you prefer, be that the classic 2D-style of D2R, the MMO-depth of Immortal, or the modern grit of Diablo 4, the Warlock is going to be a new class you can try out and enjoy in any of these titles, and it will redefine how we hunt the Prime Evils. This coordinated launch shows a new era of “cross-game” support from Blizzard that fans have been dreaming of for years.

Stay tuned as we share further details about the specific skill trees and mechanics for each game in our upcoming individual breakdowns!
