Paladin might be the best class in Diablo 4 right now. Still, if you are already bored of being overpowered, or want something different, there are plenty of strong endgame options this season that do not involve a holy hammer. And since Paladin is tied to the upcoming expansion’s pre-orders, it is good to know there are still plenty of strong endgame options if you do not own the expansion.
So, what is the best endgame class besides Paladin? What is working, what is fun, and what is just comfy to farm with?
Crackling Sorcerer Is the Community Favorite
If there is one build that keeps coming up over and over, it is Crackling Energy Sorcerer. It is fast, flashy, and completely absurd once it gets going. The gameplay can be explained as “run around, press buttons, everything dies,” and that honestly sounds like the best Diablo energy.
It also seems to scale extremely well into late Pit tiers, with some players comfortably clearing Pit 100 even if they are barely paying attention. Bonus points for style with lightning everywhere, never gets old.
Evade Spiritborn Is Back
Another big winner this season is Evade Spiritborn. It is fast, strong, and relatively easy to gear compared to some other top builds. The main downside might be your fingers.
Evade-heavy gameplay can be rough on the hands, and this is why many players recommend a controller for that one. If you are fine with that, it remains one of the strongest and fastest non-Paladin options available.
Rogues With Multiple Builds
Rogue players seem pretty happy overall this season.
Heartseeker, Death Trap, and even Dance of Knives all get consistent praise.
Heartseeker in particular stands out as a solid endgame choice that still requires some engagement, rather than full autopilot gameplay.
There are some unique requirements here, but most players agree that Rogue rewards investment and feels great once the pieces come together.
Barbarians and Druids Are Still Here
Barbarians are not just spinning anymore. Earthquake, Whirlwind, and HoTA variants are all getting love this season, being called some of the most enjoyable endgame builds by players who tried multiple classes.
On the Druid side, Pulverize Druid continues to be a reliable, strong, tanky, and very simple build to play. It may not be the fastest build in the game, but smashing entire screens never really stops being fun.
Necromancer for the Chill Grinders
If you value comfort over speed, Minion or Golem Necro still has a place. Sort of automatic builds with minions that let you farm efficiently without stressing too much about mechanics. It is not the fastest or strongest option compared to Sorcerer or Spiritborn, but for relaxed endgame farming, it does the job.
So What Should You Play?
If you have access to it, Paladin is definitely wildly overpowered, but every class has at least one A- or S-tier endgame build this season. Sorcerer and Spiritborn stand out as the strongest and fastest alternatives, and Rogue, Barbarian, Druid, and Necro all offer solid, viable options depending on what kind of gameplay you enjoy.
In other words, unless you want to play Paladin, you are not missing out. Diablo 4’s endgame is very much open this season.
