Boss Farming Is Way Easier in Diablo 4 Season 10

Every player is currently celebrating a long-awaited change in Season 10: bosses no longer waste your time with immunity phases.

Instead of disappearing, dodging spikes, or forcing you to wait through drawn-out animations, bosses like Andariel, Duriel, Varshan, the Harbinger, and more now use a barrier mechanic. That means they stay in the fight and can be killed outright if your damage is high enough. And yes, that also includes the Echo of Lilith!

Since Lilith is also affected, this season is a great time to grab a “free” Resplendent SparkResplendent Spark. It is not literally free, of course, but with her being much easier to farm, this is a good shortcut toward crafting Mythic Uniques later in the season.

Boss Fights Finally Feel Fun Again

For most of the community, this is a big win. Farming bosses now feels faster, better, and closer to the “loot piñata” experience that ARPG fans crave. You kill them, you get your loot, and you move on.

There is a comment within a related Reddit thread, in which a player summed it up perfectly: “Yes. This is how it should have been. Diablo 4 is a game first and foremost for blasters. If you want to suffer through hard fights, there are other genres for that.”

After several seasons of frustrating mechanics, Season 10 has made boss farming feel rewarding again.

Pushback From Hardcore Fans

As is often the case, not everyone is happy. A smaller group of players still miss the old-school Diablo 2 days, where Uber bosses forced you to plan ahead and build specifically to beat them.

For most players, though, the change feels like a win. Getting rid of immunity phases was needed, and the game flows much better now.
