Curiosities Obol Vendor Is Not Bugged After the Patch

Staff Avatar by Staff

Many players have been wondering about what’s happened with the Obol vendors after the latest patch. After the update, they no longer show which items will be Sacred and Ancestral, which players are calling a bug. Except it’s quite literally the opposite!

The patch did indeed change the vendor, but it was its previous iteration that was the bugged one. The vendor showing the item quality in its menu was actually just a visual error and the items we got from clicking them were not, in fact, Sacred or Ancestral as it was marked – instead they were just random as all of them are. Now we have all of them properly shown and entirely random:

Here’s the patch notes section explaining it:

Obol Vendor Change

Fixed an issue where the Purveyor of Curiosities’ menu would erroneously display item quality on some items (this didn’t affect what item quality was available to gamble for).

And so we can stop wondering why Blizzard took away something, when in fact they fixed it and we were being had by a tricksy vendor before!
