Diablo 4 Hotfix 4 Fixes Infinite Farming Exploit

Blizzard has pushed Hotfix 4 for Diablo 4 Patch 3.0.1, targeting a few high-impact issues affecting endgame runs, exploits, and quest progression. This is a small update, but it hits some important pain points.

HOTFIX 4 – April 30, 2026 – 3.0.1

Bug Fixes

  • Finishing a Pit or Tower Run no longer spawns a portal to exit from.
    • Our intention with adding this portal was for QoL, but it missed the mark.
  • Fixed an issue where Nemesis boss lairs could be infinitely farmed by grouping up with other players and swapping difficulties.
  • Fixed an issue where progression of The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit could be blocked if multiple players interacted with chains at the same time.
  • Various stability improvements.

Pit and Tower Portal Removed

One change that players complained about has been resolved. The removal of the exit portal after completing a Pit or Tower run.

Blizzard originally added this as a quality-of-life feature, but it clearly didn’t land the way they intended. Players would accidentally click the portal while picking up loot and prematurely exit their runs.

Infinite Nemesis Farming Fixed

A major exploit has been shut down.

Players were able to infinitely farm Nemesis boss lairs by grouping and swapping difficulties. That loop is now fixed, closing off a pretty significant source of unintended loot and progression abuse.

Quest Progression Bug Resolved

The campaign quest “The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit” could break if multiple players interacted with chains at the same time.

That issue has now been fixed, so co-op players shouldn’t get blocked anymore.

Stability Improvements

As expected, Blizzard also included general stability improvements, though no specifics were given.
