Diablo 4’s newest Season of Hell’s Legacy is a homage to the entire Diablo franchise, taking players to familiar battlegrounds while allowing them to revisit old friends and foes.
Season 15 has brought some much-needed improvements to almost every facet of the game. Long-requested features such as account-wide War Plans and Rebirth are debuting this season, while plenty of other changes have also been introduced. Some of them were even shadow-dropped, such as the return of the classic Runes from Diablo 2, which can now be used to craft the iconic Runewords.
One particularly welcome quality-of-life change that arrived with Season 15 is a major improvement to the amount of Gold players can earn across the board. Blizzard first increased Gold Cache rewards by almost three times, a change we covered earlier.
Not only that, but almost every other source of Gold has also received a significant boost. Gold drops across the board are now several times higher, with monsters such as Lair Bosses and enemies with the Gilded affix dropping tens of millions of Gold from a single kill.
The increased Gold income is further amplified by changes to itemization. The Gold Drop Rate affix has received a major buff, now reaching as high as 125% as a Greater Affix. The affix is also available in additional item slots, with the new Chest Armor, Squirt’s Blouse, able to roll with Gold Drop Rate.

Finally, a new seasonal gem, Splinter of Lies, provides yet another way for players to increase their Gold Drop Rate.
With all these changes together, Gold is a far more plentiful resource in Season 15. Rather than having to dedicate time specifically to farming currency or trading, players can now gain substantial amounts of Gold simply by playing the game’s endgame activities.
