Expect details on gameplay adjustments, patch notes, and maybe even a few surprises!

Blizzard dropped an official blog post ahead of tonight’s Season 10: Infernal Chaos livestream, giving us a full preview of what is coming on September 23. Here is the rundown of the biggest changes and features coming with the season.

Season Theme: Infernal Chaos

The boundaries between Sanctuary and the Burning Hells are collapsing. Mephisto’s influence has unleashed the Fell Council, bringing new Chaos Rifts across the world. These rifts spawn destructive forces and tie directly into the seasonal progression system.

Players will take on a new Seasonal Questline to uncover the Council’s plot and stop their attacks.

New Features & Rewards

  • Chaos Armor – New powerful gear pieces that drop from multiple sources, with a guaranteed drop from Bartuc on higher Torment tiers.
  • Chaos Perks – Seasonal progression system with Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique Perks, unlocked by sealing Chaos Rifts and defeating enemies.
  • Infernal Warp – Earned by closing Chaos Rifts and used to upgrade Chaos Perks.
  • Bartuc, Lord of Chaos – A new boss fight, with guaranteed Chaos Armor drops in Torment III-IV and a chance in I-II.
  • Infernal Hordes Updates – Combat has been reworked with more balanced Infernal Offerings and a faster entrance into the Hordes.

Changes Since the PTR

Blizzard also outlined several adjustments made since the 2.4.0 PTR:

  • Infernal Offerings have been rebalanced so every choice feels valid, not just the Hellborne wave.
  • Infernal Hordes door opens faster, letting players jump into the chaos more quickly.
  • Bartuc’s invulnerability phase can now only trigger after 10 seconds of the fight.
  • Chaos Armor visuals updated with unique name colors and distinct slot behavior.
  • Chaos Rifts in Nightmare Dungeons now match Helltide rewards, with stacking portal hits no longer increasing total damage taken.
  • New Chaos Uniques added:
