Some players on Diablo 4‘s Season 11 PTR noticed something strange! Yes, another weird thing is happening in this PTR! When salvaging a Mythic item, it currently gives four
Resplendent Spark instead of one.
Since crafting a new Mythic only costs two
Resplendent Spark, this discovery would technically let players turn one Mythic into two… and then four… and then, well, infinite Mythic farming by simply salvaging them until you get your ultimate 4 GA Mythic.
A Surprise From the PTR
The clip, shared on Reddit, shows a player breaking down a Mythic and receiving four
Resplendent Spark in return. We did also test it, and indeed, we got 4 Sparks from salvaging one Mythic!

Reactions were instant on Reddit as well. Some players loved the idea, calling it “a great addition” and praising the increased flexibility it would give to crafting Mythic items.
Others, more skeptical, warned it would break the entire loot economy overnight.
Probably Just a Testing Feature – but Still Fun to Dream
Most players agree it is almost certainly a PTR-only bug or testing tool, meant to make crafting and drop rates easier to test.
A few players pointed out that the PTR already includes special boosts with hundreds of Mythic caches for faster experimentation, so it is not impossible this is just available in order for us to be able to chain craft Mythics so we can test more stuff.
Still, it is fun to imagine a version of Diablo where salvaging gear could snowball into endless Mythics! A short-lived fantasy of unlimited power that players would not forget.
