With Season 11 dropping on December 11, the Lesser Evils Andariel, Belial, Azmodan, and Duriel have all been adjusted since the PTR to make their fights more exciting, challenging, and finally, less frustrating.
General PTR Updates
- Andariel no longer regenerates health if you die during her fight.
- Her phase transition is now much faster, so the battle flows more smoothly.
- Belial’s eyeballs have been increased in size to make them easier to target.
- Belial dies faster, so final boss phases won’t drag.
- Shrines no longer disappear when fighting Azmodan.
- Azmodan now has resilience, bringing him more in line with other world bosses.
- Overworld Lesser Evil events now reward unique items from Lair Boss reward pools, giving better loot for your effort.
Andariel Moves Faster, But Won’t Heal from Death

Andariel’s corruption of the Kurast Undercity is getting a serious upgrade. Her phase transitions are now much quicker, so you will not be stuck waiting through long animations mid-fight.
Plus, if you die, her health no longer magically regenerates, meaning every wipe counts. She is also adding a new thing: enemies can now carry Wailing Spirits, homing attacks that force you to move around constantly.
Moreover, with new Undercity Tributes, Andariel can show up as the final boss with extra rewards, but also with added Dungeon affixes to spice up the challenge.
Belial Dies Faster

Belial has always loved chaos, and the latest changes keep that. However, his fight will feel more fair now. His infamous eyeballs are now bigger and easier to target and destroy. When he finally falls, his death finishes faster, so you can actually celebrate your victory without a long delay.
Throughout The Pit, he will still cause confusion with enemy clones, but now the battle feels more like a proper test of skill than a trial of patience.
Azmodan Joins the Permanent World Boss Rotation

Season 11 introduces Azmodan as a permanent world boss across both Seasonal and Eternal realms. He is not just a bigger health bar. Powerful players cannot one-shot him, and you can also use the Party Finder for easier coordination.
He also has a version you can summon yourself. Summoning him gives him powers from other Lesser Evils, and his minions carry matching affixes, keeping each encounter unique. On top of that, finishing him now rewards Corrupted Essence from chests in his summoning area, so it is definitely worth the effort.
Duriel’s Maggot Mayhem Gets a Makeover
Duriel continues to terrorize Helltide, and monster packs now feature mega-maggots and the occasional Pangs of Duriel, replacing the old Hellborne enemies. It is gross, chaotic, and exactly what you expect from the King of Maggots, but now it is also a bit easier to manage.

Overall, the Lesser Evils feel deadlier but more fair, smoothing out long transitions, improving visibility on key mechanics, and rewarding players for mastering their tactics.
Are you ready to take on the challenge?
