Since Lord of Hatred launched, many players have been spending their time in the new town, Temis, which is a convenient location as all the amenities are close to each other.
One of said amenities, the Purveyor of Curiosities, also known as the Obol vendor, has not been granting any Unique items when gambling with Obols. While in previous seasons the vendor has been a source of acquiring Uniques, many players assumed that this was an undocumented change with the newest expansion. However, players have recently discovered that the Purveyors of Curiosities in other towns have a chance to grant you Unique items when spending Obols.
User u/BethanyHipsEnjoyer has reported on Reddit that, after spending several thousand Obols split between the Purveyors of Curiosities located in Temis and Cerrigar, they have received 0 Uniques from the one in Temis while receiving five Unique items from the one in Cerrigar.
While it is unknown whether Purveyors of Curiosities are meant to be a source for Unique items in Lord of Hatred, players who wish to acquire certain Unique items by spending Obols should avoid the one in Temis and instead gamble in any of the other towns. Alternatively, players who are exclusively seeking Legendary items should spend their Obols in Temis, as that eliminates Unique items from the item pool.
